Love is in the air (and in our store) this Pride Month!

Raising awareness and funds with Missoula Pride

Our continuing partnership with Missoula Pride is a genuine labor of love. In addition to making official merchandise in-house (including regular and limited edition products)--sold in our retail space and at the annual event–we also maintain the exclusive Missoula Pride collection in our online store. A portion of all sales supports Missoula Pride and the Western Montana Community Center’s shared vision to create affirming spaces for people of all sexual orientations and gender identity expressions. By purchasing from the collection, you are not just acquiring a stylish and meaningful item–you are actively supporting this vital program and the broader community.

Presenting the 2024 Missoula Pride Collection

We have been delighted to work with the Missoula Pride team and staff from the Western Montana Community Center ("The Center") to create a new line of official merchandise that expresses the values and vision of Pride. Over the past few months we have released a range of festival-worthy and everyday products featuring the Missoula Pride logo and a gorgeous new design created by Rae Senarighi (aka @transpainter). Reflecting the Missoula Pride 2024 theme, ‘Pride is Prevention’, this design highlights how community, love, allyship, and pride helps to prevent suicide and other health disparities experienced by members of the LGBTQiA+ community. This collection is available in our brick-and-mortar store and in our online store, and at the official merchandise booth of the event itself.

Celebrating Diversity All Month Long

In a similar spirit of community engagement and celebration, The Last Best Store also acknowledges Juneteenth, which is only a few short days after Missoula Pride 2024. While we are still working to establish collaborations with local BIPOC-led organizations, we acknowledge the disproportionate challenges black community members face when trying to establish for-profit or nonprofit businesses to begin with–including selling their art or handcrafted goods in local markets. There is also cause to celebrate Juneteenth as a moment when words were substantiated with action (the enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation) and we remain similarly committed to putting contemporary antiracist values into action.
