Support Inclusivity in Action Sports With Montana-Made Merchandise
The Last Best Store is proud to partner with Girls on Shred (GOS)—a Missoula-based, volunteer-run non-profit that facilitates action sports skill-building, equipment sharing, and inclusive/ accessible community events. Established in 2010, GOS is changing the game for action sports in Montana and the greater Pacific Northwest by empowering youth and people who identify with marginalized genders to take on the skatepark, slopes, and beyond with confidence, new skills, and quality gear. This merchandise collection helps fund their mission ‘to transform regional action-sport culture for the benefit of a greater diversity of recreators in and around Montana.’
Proceeds from the GOS collection support youth scholarships, athletic gear, travel expenses, and free adventure sports events for underserved and rural communities across Montana, Idaho, and Washington. Featuring high quality products decorated by our sister company (The Last Best Company) with bold, original logos designed by local artists, each piece in this collection amplifies the verve, reach, and impact of GOS. By purchasing GOS-branded merchandise, you’re not only supporting local artists and manufacturers—you’re directly contributing to a movement that’s breaking down barriers in action sports culture, one community at a time.

By offering free skill-building clinics, equipment sharing, and accessible community events, Girls on Shred (GOS) engages underserved communities through a variety of skateboarding, snowboarding, skiing, river surfing, and roller skating events. For instance, their skateboarding program features free skateboarding clinics (including instruction at all levels, gear, and safety equipment), youth scholarships to Woodward Skate Camp, annual tours to rural communities like the Rocky Boy Reservation in north-central Montana, and ongoing support (e.g., ongoing communications and care packages) for participants in remote communities. Their winter programming includes annual ski and snowboarding events in Montana, Idaho, and Washington that provide youth with gear, carpooling, and lift ticket assistance in order to develop skills and conservation mindedness amongst participants. Since their founding in 2010, GOS has reached over 2000 participants in 30 rural communities (plus a robust online community), hosted over 100 free adventure sports events and fundraisers, and gifted over $50,000 worth of skate, snowboard, and protective gear.
You can amplify GOS's voice and impact by purchasing from the Girls on Shred collection, and help Spread the Shred!
